New wheel options are included for the Taos lineup, with highlights such as 18-inch and 19-inch black wheels for the SE Black trim.
Cabin
Inside the 2025 Volkswagen Taos, new features include a floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, touch-based climate controls, and active noise cancelling materials for the cabin. Two-tone black and gray upholstery comes with the S trim, while the SE and SE Black models offer two-tone options or black furnishing (SE Black trim). The SEL comes with standard leather seating and optional dark blue details.
Performance
The new 2025 Volkswagen Taos is powered by an updated turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, producing up to 174 horsepower, an increase in 16 hp from last year’s model! An 8-speed automatic transmission is introduced for 4Motion-equipped All-Wheel Drive models.

Standard driver-assist systems for the new 2025 Volkswagen Taos include Front Assist, Active Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Assist, and Emergency Assist.
